Sammendrag

Kan såkalt generativ kunstig intelligens opplyse og danne oss? I denne artikkelen viser jeg at det er en spenning mellom generativ kunstig intelligens (GKI) og opplysning og dannelse, spesielt i skole og utdanning. I den grad vi blir avhengige av GKI for å produsere tekst, lyd, bilder og så videre – i samme grad motarbeider vi ekte opplysning og dannelse.

Can Generative Artificial Intelligence Enlighten and Cultivate us?

Can so-called generative artificial intelligence enlighten and cultivate us? In this article, I show that there is a tension between generative artificial intelligence (GAI) and enlightenment and cultivation, especially in schools and education. To the extent that we become dependent on GAI to produce text, audio, pictures, and so on, to the same extent we inhibit true enlightenment and cultivation.
