SCHOOL FOR THE FUTURE

Call for papers

Nordic Journal of Pedagogy & Critique

NJPC invites you to submit papers on the theme: School for the future.

Papers are scheduled to be published in the autumn of 2016.

This thematic issue’s point of departure is the changes or reforms in the Nordic school culture presented in political programs and governmental reports, statutory laws, regulations, steering documents, curricular reforms and test surveys. Reforms in education range from the preschool to the higher educational level, and they invite critical analysis and judgment with a view to the future of our schools. Over the past decades neoliberal and conservative policies have dominated school reform across the board, and they have met critical opposition. This period of strife and struggle in politics and education also gives us an opportunity to ask anew: What can and should the future of schooling and education be? What is the future of our schools? What is a school for the future?

Nordic Journal of Pedagogy & Critique invites Nordic scholars and educationists to address the question of the core values of today’s school and the school of the future.

Deadline for submission: 1 February 2016

All articles will be subject to a double-blind peer-review process.

Include «School for the future» in the title of your article, or make a note to the editors that the article is intended for this issue.

Your article should not be more than 6000 words.

Best regards,
